  • Description: Project TEACH provides support for families experiencing homelessness to help children stay in school and achieve educational success.Each school district has a homeless liaison who is available to families in need of assistance.Services include: Assistance with school enrollment Referrals to preschool programs Coordination between schools, shelters, and housing agencies Assistance with transferring school records, including immunizations, and health records Assistance with accessing after-school programs Assistance with access to the educational programs for which the child or youth is eligible Referrals to services needed such as food, shelter, clothing, health, dental, vision, and mental health Access to School Nutrition Programs Transportation resources to enable children and youth experiencing homelessness to attend the school of origin School supplies and resources for students who are experiencing homelessness Parent/guardian consultation including discussion of educational rights and responsibilities Community awareness campaigns and professional development Referral to school district homeless liaison
